No14 The Beauty of Diversity 多样之美
The beauty of the world lies in the diversity. I have to admit that it definitely feels good to explore the downtown of San Francisco and ethnic minority villages of Yunnan. Here’s my travelling journal containing varieties of diagrams and first-hand accounts.世界之美，美在多样。不得不承认，探索旧金山商业区和云南少数民族村落的感觉确实很好。以下是我含有各种示意图和一手记录的的旅行日志。
San Francisco claims to be a melting pot that brings about multiculturalism. In the Mission District influenced by graffito and comic art, after enjoying tai chi and jazz performance, I selected a Cantonese bar and ate a series of foods suiting my taste, including fortune cookie, spicy stew and chips covered in cheese. Afterwards, I headed to a museum showcasing historical and financial changes that occurred here. Historically, immigrants went across the Atlantic to settle here, earning a living in railroad construction or wearing jeans and boots to seek their fortune in gold rush.
旧金山号称是一个引发多元文化的大熔炉。在受涂鸦和漫画艺术影响的教会区，欣赏了太极和爵士表演后，我选择了一家广东小吃店，吃了一系列符合我口味的食物，包括幸运曲奇，辣炖汤，以及奶酪薯条。之后，我走去一家博物馆，这里展示着本地发生的历史和金融变迁。历史上，移民们跨越大西洋定居于此，要么在铁路建设中谋生，要么穿上牛仔裤和靴子去淘金热中寻出路。
Yunnan province is definitely one of the most diverse provinces that I have ever been to. Apart from being home to many ethnic minority groups, it’s the best district of escaping winter for its mild climate all year round. I was super excited to taste poisonous wild mushrooms, saw instrument mentioned in the oldest collection of Chinese poetry and buy a unique range of items as souvenirs, including traditional Chinese herbal medicine, china plates containing special materials, and hand-made clothing with silver accessories, to name but a few.
云南省一定是我去过的最多元化的省份之一。除了是很多少数民族的家园，由于全年温和的气候，它还是最好的避寒胜地。我非常兴奋地品尝了有毒的野生蘑菇，看到了在中国最古老诗集中提及的乐器，还买了一系列独特的物品作为纪念品，包括传统中草药，含有特殊材料的瓷盘，带有银饰的纯手工服装，等等。
