No 24 You are what you eat 人如其食
People say that you are what you eat. Put more simply, this means “cuisine go hand in hand with our temper, character and culture.” I used to be a bold person who slice off some bacon, ham, or sausage for every dinner, but now I prefer vegetarian food and become somewhat different in personality.人们常说,人如其食。简单来说,这句话的意思是,菜肴与我们的脾气,性格和文化密切相关。我曾是一个敢于冒险的人,每顿饭都切下一些培根,火腿和香肠吃,但现在我更喜欢素食,并且在性格上变得有些不同了。
Prior to starting my own business, I was the chief chef of a cafeteria that offered conventional Western dinner consisting of appetizers, main courses, soup, and dessert. I also learnt exceptional Chinese recipes in Zibo, including red braised pork, pearl meatballs, hand-torn cabbage, steamed fish head covered with chillies, and dry pot duck with golden buns. I also tasted elegant dim sum, lamb kebab peppered with peppercorns, boiled dumplings served with vinegar and garlic, and pancake rolls stuffed with Chinese green onions.

Currently, I’m running a vegetarian canteen called Madams’ Association, which offers different categories of ideal diets and quantities of tricks to healthy eating. We use olives, figs, bean curd, dairy products and other ingredients full of vitamins and fibre. Beyond/Besides this, we don’t suggest consumers to consume junk food regardless of their overall consumption of calory. Finally, keeping consistent eating habits is a fundamental key. For instance, chewing at a moderate speed helps consume a modest amount of food.

Though public concern for healthy eating has mushroomed, running a new brand isn’t a piece of cake and I’m not rolling in dough. But at a minimum, I have shifted to a brand new diet.
