Located to the south of the equator and Torres Strait, Australia is a great getaway with many iconic attractions, including grand monuments, yummy meals and animals with unique biology. In a peak season, I came to this country with a special political system.

In Bondi Beach, although bakeries, fast-food joints, butcher shops, and temporary stands selling dim sim provided some premier food experiences, what suited my taste best was an open-air barbecue. Having experienced diving, kayaking, bungee jumping and playing golf, I tried playing a musical instrument made of hollow trunks. Unlike a horn, I had to vibrate my lips with certain frequency to change pitch, which was so tiring that I had a frog in my throat and bought a handful of herbs from a licensed clinic.

In a geothermal park, I saw a flock of kangaroos jumping with freedom in their natural domain. During an early phase, this creature featuring a pouch was threatened by arrows from violent hunters. Then the Prime Minister, premier of Australian government, proposed the foundation of reserves with fences, entitled local police to give longer prison sentences to hunters without hunting license and encouraged individuals to sponsor a kangaroo to preserve its health and liberty. Joint efforts against violence have improved its distribution.

In the last shopping session, I bought a sample of duck-billed platypus, a primitive mammal with capacity to hatch eggs in nests. Personally speaking, I agree with the straightforward tourism slogan: “There’s nothing like Australia.”
